MyMicroBalance consists of five columns which can neither be edited nor deleted. This structure is the same as in previous versions. It contains the colums: Date, Name, Amount, Group and Category. Each entry in MyMicroBalance needs at least on of these basic entries.
If you want to shift a column simply select the respective column from the given list and click “up” or “down.”
Create column: (Step 1):
The balance column management can easily distinguish between three basic types of columns and six types of subtypes.
Click on "Add column" to create a new column. The following basic types are available.
- Simple Columns
- Amount Columns
- Mathematical Columns
Name Description Simple Column A simple column allows you to add more individual texts, numbers or dates to every entry such as a comment field or a field for the number of purchased articles.
Amount Column An amount column allows you to enter information about the individual currency. You can choose between the standard currency of your balance or a foreign currency. An example for such a column is the automatic conversion into a different currency.
Mathematical Column The mathematical column is useful for automating various calculations. You can choose between a simple calculation, a percent calculation and a calculation involving two other columns.
Create column (Step 2):
In Step 2 you can modify the settings depending on the column type.
Simple Column
In a simple column you first have to enter the name of the column, which then appears as column title in your balance. Additionally, it can be given a standard value. Thus on the one hand previous entries are assigned this standard value, on the other hand predefined values can accelerate entries.
Amount Column
In the amount column you have to name the new column first. When creating a column for foreign currencies a currency symbol has to be added, as well as the basic column and the exchange rate.
Mathematical Column
When creating the calculation column you first have to name the column. Depending on the subtype selected you may now make the calculation. Simply choose between a column which should be included into the calculation, or select "Individual Entry" to be able to set an individual value for every entry. For calculating taxes we recommend using the subtype "Percent calculation". Here you only have to select the starting column and enter the standard tax rate.
Below the input field you see the result of the respective column, which shows you the type of calculation.
Edit Columns:
Once the column type is fixed it cannot be modified anymore. Only the column name can still be changed.
Delete Columns:
When deleting an additional column from your balance sheet all the corresponding data will be deleted irrecoverably.
