VIP Category Editing lets you create, edit, or delete categories not only in the currently open account but, when required, in all existing accounts in your file.

This saves time if you work with several accounts and want to use the same category structure in all of them. The feature is available with a VIP license key.

Create a category for all accounts

1. Open Administration of Categories in MyMicroBalance.
2. Create a new category.
3. Before saving, select the option to create the category in all accounts.
4. Save the category.

The new category is then available not only in the current account but also in the other existing accounts in your file.

Edit a category in all accounts

When editing a category, you can also decide whether the change applies only to the current account or to all accounts. This is useful when you want to rename a category or standardize your category structure.

Important information

• The feature affects the existing accounts in the current MyMicroBalance file.
• Before saving, check whether the change should really apply to all accounts.
• Be especially careful when deleting categories because the change can affect several accounts.
• Create a backup of your .mmb file before making major category changes.
