Save Balance Data

MyMicroBalance stores your income, expenditures, accounts, categories, and settings in the currently open balance file.

Save the balance file manually

  1. Select File at the top of the main window.
  2. Select Save.

You can also select Save under Current File in the menu on the left.

Save under a new name

Use Save As to create a copy or a new version of your balance file. Select a storage location and file name in the Windows dialog, and then select Save.

Automatic saving when you exit

When you exit MyMicroBalance normally, the currently open balance file is saved automatically. If you do not want to keep the latest changes, select File and then Exit without Save.

Recommendations

  • Save manually after longer data-entry sessions and after major changes, even though MyMicroBalance saves automatically when you exit normally.
  • Store the balance file in a location that you can easily find again.
  • Create regular backups of your .mmb file.
